About The Position

As a Security Officer Hospital Access Control in Fountain Valley, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare, and more. Requirements

  • A minimum of 2+ years of security-related experience is required.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • CPR certification is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • A guard card and/or license is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to patients, visitors, and staff by carrying out security-related procedures, location-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities appropriate to a healthcare setting.
  • Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner while communicating clearly with staff, visitors, and first responders as needed.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout buildings, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help to deter unwanted activity and/or identify unusual conditions.
  • Monitor entrances, exits, and public areas, assisting with access-related protocols, visitor screening practices, and/or direction of foot traffic based on location needs.
  • Prepare clear, accurate reports of incidents, observations, and/or daily activities, and report maintenance concerns, hazards, or policy issues to the appropriate personnel.
