About The Position

As a Security Officer Highrise Access Control in Los Angeles, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Hotels & Resorts, and more. As a Front Desk Security Professional at a hotel and resort location, you will welcome guests, manage access, monitor activity, and respond to security-related concerns with professionalism and care. Requirements

  • Have at least 2 years of security-related experience.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • CPR and First Aid certification is preferred.
  • A guard card or license is preferred.
  • Loss prevention experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide exceptional customer service to hotel guests, visitors, and staff while carrying out site-specific security-related procedures and policies.
  • Staff the front desk or lobby area, greet and direct guests and visitors, verify access credentials, and maintain visitor logs as required.
  • Monitor access points, cameras, alarms, and other security-related systems; report unusual activity or access concerns according to site procedures.
  • Respond to incidents, guest concerns, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, contacting appropriate personnel and/or emergency services when needed.
  • Assist with maintaining a welcoming, professional lobby environment while helping to deter unauthorized access and supporting hotel operations.
