About The Position

As a Security Officer Healthcare Entry Screening in Silver Spring, MD, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. Requirements

  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • Have at least 2 years of service in a healthcare or medical-related field.
  • Have at least 5 years of security-related experience.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Access control and badge experience is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to visitors, employees, and members of the public while carrying out screening procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities at a government location.
  • Screen individuals and their belongings using established screening equipment and procedures, reporting prohibited items, irregularities, and policy concerns to appropriate personnel.
  • Verify identification, credentials, and access authorization in accordance with site requirements, maintaining a professional and courteous demeanor.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established notification and escalation protocols.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of assigned screening areas, entrances, and surrounding perimeter to help deter unauthorized access and identify unusual activity.
