As a Security Officer Guest Services Desk in Chicago, IL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Commercial Real Estate, and more. As a Front Desk Officer in a commercial real estate location, you will welcome visitors, monitor access activity, and support security-related operations through strong communication and professional presence. This role offers the chance to deliver outstanding customer service while working with a team that values people first, acts with integrity, and brings agile, reliable, and innovative support to the property each day.

Requirements

  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or appropriate emergency response activities at a commercial real estate location.
  • Monitor front desk operations, greet visitors, manage access control processes, and verify credentials in accordance with property policies.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, and communicate relevant details to property management and/or emergency personnel as needed.
  • Support tenant, guest, and vendor interactions by answering questions, providing directions, and documenting security-related events, requests, and/or unusual activity.
  • Help to deter unauthorized access and policy violations through attentive presence at the front desk, visitor screening, and consistent application of post procedures.
