At a busy retail location, our Front Desk Officers help create a welcoming presence while supporting access control, visitor management, and other security-related responsibilities. This role focuses on strong customer service, clear communication, and attention to detail from a stationary post. Requirements

  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • CPR certification is preferred.
  • Access control and badge experience is preferred.
  • Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service by greeting visitors, checking in guests, managing access at the front desk, and following site-specific security-related procedures for the location.
  • Monitor lobby and entrance activity, verify credentials as required, and report unusual behavior, maintenance concerns, and/or policy violations to the appropriate personnel.
  • Respond to incidents, questions, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including supporting emergency response activities when appropriate.
  • Maintain detailed front desk logs, visitor records, and incident documentation while communicating clearly with staff, vendors, and/or members of the public.
  • Help to deter unauthorized access and disruptive activity through attentive front desk presence, professional interaction, and consistent application of post orders and client policies.
