As a Security Officer Guard Card Patrol in Santa Clara, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Education, and more. Requirements

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only

Nice To Haves

• A state, county, or city issued security-related license is preferred
• The ability to use a computer or tablet is preferred

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to students, staff, visitors, and/or vendors by carrying out site-specific procedures, access support, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and sharing details with school administration and/or first responders as needed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout campus buildings, walkways, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
• Monitor entry and exit points, verify authorized access, and report unusual behavior, maintenance issues, and/or policy concerns observed during assigned rounds.
• Support school operations during arrival, dismissal, special events, and/or after-hours activities by providing a professional presence and following post orders and location procedures.
