As a Security Officer Patrol Specialist in Joliet, IL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Logistics & Distribution, and more. Join Allied Universal as an unarmed patrol officer at a busy logistics and distribution location, where you will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and support access awareness across the site. This role is ideal for someone who values teamwork, clear communication, and customer service while bringing a reliable, caring, and integrity-driven approach to each shift.

Requirements

  • Be at least 18 years of age
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent
  • Subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws
  • Subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to all persons at the location by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or appropriate emergency response activities.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner and report observations according to site protocols.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the facility, warehouse areas, loading docks, parking areas, and perimeter, noting unusual activity and/or potential concerns.
  • Monitor access points for employees, visitors, and delivery drivers, verify credentials when required, and help to deter unauthorized entry or prohibited activity.
  • Support logistics and distribution operations by maintaining a visible presence, communicating with site contacts, and documenting daily activities, incidents, and/or maintenance-related concerns.
