About The Position

As a Security Officer Government Building in Costa Mesa, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and support a welcoming environment. You will conduct routine patrols, assist with access control and badge processes, communicate professionally with employees and visitors, and use technology to document activity. Requirements

Possess at least 2 years of security-related experience.
Be at least 21 years of age.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

Customer service experience is preferred.
Comfortably use a computer or tablet is preferred.
Access control and badge experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and/or vendors by carrying out site-specific security-related procedures, access-control policies, and emergency response activities when appropriate.
Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established post instructions.
Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of business areas, building perimeters, parking areas, and access points to help deter unauthorized activity.
Monitor entry and exit activity, verify authorized access, and report unusual conditions or policy concerns to the appropriate personnel.
Document incidents, observations, and daily activities accurately and in accordance with Allied Universal and site-specific reporting requirements.
