As an Allied Universal Access Control Officer at a manufacturing and industrial location, you will help manage entry and exit points, greet employees and visitors, verify credentials, and document activity using site systems. You will maintain a visible presence, communicate clearly, and support a professional environment that helps to deter security-related incidents. Requirements

  • Being comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • A guard card/license is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to site employees, contractors, and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at an industrial manufacturing location.
  • Control access at entrances and vehicle gates by verifying identification and/or authorization, issuing temporary credentials, maintaining visitor and delivery logs, and directing traffic flow to approved areas.
  • Monitor cameras, alarms, radios, and access control systems, and report irregular conditions according to post orders and Allied Universal guidelines.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including initiating notifications, documenting actions taken, and coordinating with site personnel and/or emergency services as directed.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of buildings, production-adjacent areas, parking lots, and perimeter points to help to deter unauthorized access and identify security-related concerns.
