Requirements

  • At least 1 year of security-related experience is required.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

  • A guard card or license is preferred.
  • Access control or badge experience is preferred.
  • Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to tenants, visitors, and/or contractors by following site-specific procedures, access control protocols, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a commercial real estate location.
  • Monitor entry and exit points, verify credentials and/or visitor authorization, and help to deter unauthorized access through consistent access control practices and clear communication.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and reporting security-related concerns according to Allied Universal guidelines.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout lobbies, common areas, parking areas, and perimeter locations to identify unusual activity, unsecured access points, and/or maintenance-related issues.
  • Maintain accurate visitor logs, badge records, and incident reports while supporting property management and building staff with security-related requests and access-related questions.
