About The Position

As a Security Officer Gated Community Visitor Verification in Irvine, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Commercial Real Estate, and more. Requirements

  • Possess at least 1 year of security-related experience.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to residents, visitors, vendors, and clients by carrying out access control procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Monitor entry and exit points, verify authorization for residents and visitors, manage guest and vendor access, and maintain accurate access-related records.
  • Respond to incidents, access concerns, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established procedures and notifying appropriate personnel.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of community entrances, common areas, parking locations, and the perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
  • Communicate professionally with property management, residents, and emergency responders while documenting incidents, observations, and shift activities in accordance with site requirements.
