About The Position

As a Security Officer Gated Community Access Control in Irvine, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Commercial Real Estate, and more. Requirements

• At least 1 year of security-related experience is required.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to ensure compliance with all applicable laws.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• A guard card or license is preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• A state, county, or city issued security-related license is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service by carrying out site-specific procedures, monitoring access points, and supporting security-related activities at a commercial real estate location.
• Verify resident, visitor, vendor, and/or delivery access permissions, issue directions as needed, and maintain accurate visitor and vehicle entry records.
• Respond to incidents, access concerns, and/or unusual activity in a calm, problem-solving manner, and report details according to site protocols.
• Conduct regular and random patrols around entry areas, common spaces, parking areas, and the perimeter to help to deter unauthorized access and observe conditions requiring attention.
• Communicate with property staff, residents, guests, and/or emergency responders regarding access-related matters, site rules, and security-related concerns.
