About The Position

As a Security Officer Gated Community Access Control in Irvine, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Residential, and more. As an Access Control Officer in a residential community, you will help create a welcoming, secure environment by managing entry points, verifying authorized access, and providing exceptional customer service to residents and visitors. Requirements

  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Possession of a guard card/license is preferred.
  • Access control/badge experience is preferred.
  • Ability to lift up to 20 lbs is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to residents, guests, vendors, and visitors by carrying out site-specific access-control procedures, policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Monitor entry and exit points, verify authorized access, and maintain accurate visitor, vendor, and delivery records in accordance with community procedures.
  • Respond to access-related incidents, resident concerns, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of community common areas, entrances, parking areas, and perimeter locations; working environments and conditions may vary by site.
  • Report observed hazards, suspicious activity, access-control concerns, and maintenance issues to appropriate personnel and document activities in required reports.
