Join Allied Universal as an Access Control Officer at a fast-paced logistics and distribution location, where you will monitor entry points, verify credentials, manage visitor activity, and support daily security-related operations. This is a driving post requiring a valid driver's license. You will remain visible, help to deter incidents, and deliver outstanding customer service through clear communication, teamwork, reliability, and integrity.

Requirements

  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and drivers by following site-specific security-related procedures, access control policies, and/or emergency response activities at a logistics and distribution location.
  • Monitor entry and exit points, verify credentials, authorize access for approved personnel, and help to deter unauthorized entry into the facility, yard, and/or restricted areas.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting activity and communicating with site contacts and/or local responders as appropriate.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around the business, loading and unloading areas, trailer yards, parking areas, and perimeter, with duties varying based on location conditions.
  • Maintain accurate logs related to visitors, deliveries, pickups, and vehicle activity, and report unusual behavior, damaged barriers, and/or access control concerns to site leadership.
