About The Position

As a Security Officer Access Gate in Gardner, KS, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Manufacturing & Industrial, and more. Join Allied Universal in a dynamic manufacturing and industrial location as an Access Control Officer, helping manage entry points, verify credentials, and monitor site activity. In this role, you will remain visible, conduct routine patrols, and deliver strong customer service and communication while supporting a smooth flow of people and operations. Guided by teamwork, integrity, and a people-first culture, you will play an important part in daily security-related support.

Requirements

  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • CPR and/or First Aid certification is preferred and may be completed post hire.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and vendors by carrying out site-specific access control procedures, badging activities, and other security-related policies for a manufacturing and industrial location.
  • Monitor entry and exit points, verify identification and/or credentials, and document visitor traffic to help support authorized access throughout the location.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including communicating with site contacts and following emergency response activities when appropriate.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around the building, production areas, parking areas, and perimeter, with working environments and conditions that may vary by location.
  • Prepare clear reports on daily activities, access exceptions, and unusual incidents, and communicate observations that may help to deter unauthorized activity and/or policy violations.
