About The Position

As a Security Officer Full Time TWIC Credential Coordinator in Tampa, FL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Logistics & Distribution, and more. As an Access Control Officer at a busy logistics and distribution location, you will monitor entry points, verify authorized access, and help maintain a secure environment for people, property, and operations. Requirements

• Possess a TSA-issued TWIC.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

• Be able to lift more than 20 lbs preferred.
• CPR/First Aid preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients, visitors, drivers, and port personnel while carrying out site-specific access-control procedures, policies, and emergency response activities.
• Monitor access points and verify credentials, vehicle authorization, delivery documentation, and visitor entry requirements in accordance with established procedures.
• Control entry and exit of personnel, contractors, vendors, and commercial vehicles, maintaining accurate access logs and reporting irregularities to appropriate personnel.
• Respond to incidents, access concerns, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established escalation and communication protocols.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of access points, loading areas, parking locations, and perimeter areas to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
