About The Position

As a Security Officer TWIC in Deer Park, TX, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Chemical/Petrochemical, and more. As a Driving Unarmed Patrol Officer at a chemical/petrochemical location, you will conduct routine patrols, monitor assigned areas, support access control, and help to deter security-related incidents. You will remain visible, communicate professionally with employees and visitors, and provide exceptional customer service. Requirements

  • A valid driver’s license is required in the state where the job is located.
  • A Transportation Worker Identification Credential issued by TSA is required.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • Access control or badge experience is preferred.
  • Ability to lift up to 20 pounds is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, access-control requirements, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a chemical and petrochemical location.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, spills, unauthorized access concerns, and other critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established site protocols.
  • Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of buildings, operational areas, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help deter unauthorized activity and identify unusual conditions.
  • Monitor entry and exit activity, verify visitor and contractor authorization, and maintain required logs and reports in accordance with site procedures.
  • Communicate observed hazards, equipment concerns, and policy violations to appropriate site contacts and Allied Universal leadership.
