As a Security Officer Full Time Screening Support in Manassas, VA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. As a Screener at a leading technology location, you will help maintain a secure, welcoming environment by monitoring access points, screening visitors and personnel, verifying credentials, and supporting access-control procedures. Requirements

  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and vendors at a technology-focused location by carrying out site-specific security-related procedures, access-screening requirements, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
  • Screen personnel, visitors, and deliveries entering the facility in accordance with established access-control procedures; verify credentials, maintain visitor records, and direct individuals to appropriate check-in points.
  • Inspect permitted personal items, packages, and materials as required by site policy, escalating prohibited, unauthorized, or suspicious items through established reporting channels.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner; notify appropriate site contacts and Allied Universal leadership as needed.
  • Maintain accurate activity logs and incident documentation, and conduct regular and random patrols of assigned screening areas, entrances, and nearby perimeter locations to help deter unauthorized access.
