As a Security Officer Full Time Reception Credentialing in San Mateo, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. Requirements

  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and vendors at a front desk location within a technology, media, and telecommunications environment by carrying out site-specific security-related procedures and policies.
  • Welcome visitors, verify identification and authorization, issue visitor credentials, and maintain accurate visitor and access records in accordance with site requirements.
  • Monitor front desk communications, answer incoming calls, direct inquiries to appropriate personnel, and provide clear information regarding entry procedures and facility guidelines.
  • Respond to incidents, access concerns, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, escalating matters to appropriate personnel as needed.
  • Observe and report unusual activity, maintain awareness of the lobby and adjacent entry areas, and help to deter unauthorized access through professional presence and adherence to access-control procedures.
