As a Security Officer Full Time Unarmed Patrol Driver in Durham, NC, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare, and more. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a healthcare location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, support access control activities, and deliver exceptional customer service and communication. This driving position requires a valid driver’s license in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements. Requirements

  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with access control and badge systems is preferred.
  • CPR and First Aid certification is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to patients, donors, visitors, and/or staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities in a healthcare setting.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of the facility, parking areas, entrances, perimeter, and other assigned areas to help identify unusual activity, unsecured access points, and potential hazards.
  • Monitor access to the location, verify authorized entry as directed by site procedures, and report suspicious activity or unauthorized persons to appropriate personnel.
  • Respond to incidents, medical emergencies, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner while following site-specific protocols and contacting emergency services when needed.
  • Prepare accurate reports and maintain required activity logs, documenting observations, incidents, patrols, and interactions in accordance with Allied Universal and site procedures.
