As a Security Officer Full Time Patrol in STERLING HEIGHTS, MI, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Aero/Defense, and more. Join Allied Universal as an unarmed patrol officer at a dynamic aero and defense location, where you will monitor assigned areas, conduct routine patrols, and remain visible to help to deter security-related incidents. In this role, you will support access awareness, deliver outstanding customer service, and communicate clearly with staff and visitors while reflecting our values of agility, reliability, innovation, teamwork, and integrity.

Requirements

  • At least 1 year of security-related experience is required.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Access control and badge experience is preferred.
  • CPR certification is preferred.
  • Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and/or contractors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at an aerospace and defense location.
  • Respond to incidents, unusual activity, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, and document observations in accordance with post instructions.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout buildings, controlled areas, and perimeter locations to help to deter unauthorized access and identify security-related concerns.
  • Monitor entry and exit points, verify credentials and/or visitor authorizations, and report access control issues or suspicious activity to site leadership.
  • Support compliance with location rules for restricted areas, vehicle access, and/or after-hours activity while maintaining professionalism and clear communication with all personnel on site.
