As a Security Officer Full Time Patrol Driver in FAIRFAX, VA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Utilities, and more. As an unarmed Security Officer at a utilities location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, conduct routine checks, and maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents. This driving post requires a valid driver’s license. You will support access control, communicate professionally with visitors and staff, and deliver exceptional service. Requirements

  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • CPR and First Aid certification is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Access control and badge experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to personnel, visitors, and contractors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities at a utility operations location.
  • Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of facility buildings, access points, parking areas, grounds, and perimeter areas to help identify unusual conditions and help deter unauthorized activity.
  • Monitor access to restricted operational areas; verify credentials, maintain visitor and contractor logs, and direct individuals in accordance with site requirements.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner; notify appropriate site contacts and/or emergency responders as directed.
  • Document patrol observations, incidents, and security-related concerns in clear, accurate reports and communicate relevant information to site leadership.
