As a Security Officer Full Time Patrol Driver in West Covina, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls, and more. Join Allied Universal as an unarmed patrol officer at a busy retail location, where you will conduct routine patrols and a primarily driving post to help support a secure environment. You will remain visible, respond to security-related concerns, and deliver outstanding customer service and communication. Requirements

• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

• Customer service experience is preferred.
• A guard card/license is preferred.
• Alarm panel experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to visitors, tenants, and/or staff by carrying out assigned security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a retail location.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting relevant details and communicating with site contacts as needed.
• Conduct regular and random foot patrols throughout storefront areas, common areas, entrances, parking areas, and the exterior perimeter to help identify unusual activity and/or policy violations.
• Monitor access points and observe activity across the location to help to deter unauthorized entry, loitering, theft-related activity, and/or other concerning behavior.
• Support closing and opening routines, assist with customer and tenant inquiries, and report maintenance concerns, hazards, and/or suspicious activity according to post instructions.
