Requirements

Have at least 1 year of security-related experience.
Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to personnel, visitors, and contractors at a utilities-related location by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities when appropriate.
Monitor and control access to the facility by verifying credentials, maintaining visitor and contractor entry records, and directing authorized individuals in accordance with site requirements.
Respond to access-related incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating concerns through established communication channels.
Conduct regular and random patrols of entry points, perimeter areas, and designated facility areas to help identify unauthorized access or unusual activity.
Prepare clear, accurate reports of access activity, incidents, and observations in accordance with Allied Universal and site procedures.
