As a Security Officer Full Time Armed Protection in Detroit, MI, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As a Security Officer supporting a government location, you will monitor assigned areas, conduct routine patrols, help deter security-related incidents, and provide outstanding customer service and communication. This role calls for experienced professionals with a concealed carry weapons permit to respond professionally to evolving situations while representing Allied Universal’s agile, reliable, innovative, caring, and integrity-driven culture.

Requirements

Possess a valid concealed carry weapons permit.
Have at least three years of security-related, law enforcement, military police, or military experience.
Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to visitors, employees, and members of the public by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities at government facilities.
Respond to incidents, public concerns, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner; communicate observations and incidents to appropriate personnel.
Conduct regular and random patrols of government buildings, public areas, parking facilities, and perimeter locations to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
Monitor access points, verify authorized entry, and assist with directing visitors in accordance with site-specific procedures.
Prepare accurate reports and maintain required logs related to incidents, patrols, visitor activity, and other security-related matters.
