As a Security Officer Full Time Armed Protection in Detroit, MI, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As a Security Officer supporting a government location, you will monitor assigned areas, conduct routine patrols, help deter security-related incidents, and provide outstanding customer service and communication. This role calls for experienced professionals with a concealed carry weapons permit to respond professionally to evolving situations while representing Allied Universal’s agile, reliable, innovative, caring, and integrity-driven culture.

Requirements

  • Possess a valid concealed carry weapons permit.
  • Have at least three years of security-related, law enforcement, military police, or military experience.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to visitors, employees, and members of the public by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities at government facilities.
  • Respond to incidents, public concerns, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner; communicate observations and incidents to appropriate personnel.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of government buildings, public areas, parking facilities, and perimeter locations to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
  • Monitor access points, verify authorized entry, and assist with directing visitors in accordance with site-specific procedures.
  • Prepare accurate reports and maintain required logs related to incidents, patrols, visitor activity, and other security-related matters.
