Requirements

  • Have at least 2 years of security-related experience.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Be comfortable using a computer and/or tablet, which is preferred.
  • CPR certification is preferred.
  • A guard card and/or license is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service by carrying out site-specific procedures, front desk protocols, visitor processing, and/or emergency response activities appropriate to the location.
  • Monitor lobby and reception areas, greet visitors, verify identification and/or access credentials, and direct guests, employees, and vendors according to site policies.
  • Answer phones, manage sign-in records, issue temporary badges or visitor passes, and report unusual activity, incidents, and/or maintenance concerns in a calm, problem-solving manner.
  • Support access control functions for a professional office environment by helping to deter unauthorized entry, observing entry points, and following escalation procedures for security-related issues.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations with professionalism, document events clearly, and communicate with site contacts and Allied Universal leadership as needed.
