Requirements

  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to visitors, employees, and/or members of the public by carrying out site-specific procedures and front desk protocols at a government location.
  • Monitor lobby and reception activity, verify identification and/or visitor credentials, maintain access logs, and communicate security-related information to appropriate personnel.
  • Answer questions, direct guests to the proper office or department, and report unusual activity, policy concerns, and/or facility issues in a timely manner.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including contacting supervisors, emergency services, and/or designated staff when appropriate.
  • Support Allied Universal and site personnel with routine administrative and security-related tasks such as badge distribution, key control, phone coverage, and documentation of daily activities.
