Job Description As a Security Officer - Front Desk Support in Fairfax, VA , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries. As a Front Desk Security Professional with Allied Universal, you will be the first point of contact at the location, helping to create a welcoming and secure environment. Your responsibilities will include monitoring access, assisting visitors, responding to security-related incidents, and providing excellent customer service. Requirements

  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • A guard card or license is preferred.
  • Being comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Alarm panel experience is preferred.
  • Access control or badge experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to clients and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies and/or emergency response activities.
  • Monitor and control access to the location, verifying identification and managing visitor logs as required.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations at the front desk in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established protocols.
  • Communicate clearly and professionally with clients, visitors, and Allied Universal team members.
  • Maintain a visible presence at the front desk to help to deter unwanted activity and provide assistance as needed.
  • Document and report all security-related incidents, unusual activities, and/or emergencies according to company and site-specific procedures.
