As a Front Desk Security Officer at a leading tech and telecommunications location, you will welcome visitors, manage check-in and key control processes, and support access procedures while maintaining a professional, visible presence. You will document activity, communicate clearly with site teams, and respond to security-related concerns with calm, customer-focused service. Requirements

  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

  • Being comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to clients, employees, and visitors at the front desk by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Control access to the location by greeting visitors, verifying identification, issuing visitor credentials, managing sign-in and/or sign-out logs, and directing authorized guests to the appropriate contact or area.
  • Monitor security-related systems and communications such as phones, radios, alarms, and visitor management tools, and report irregular activity according to post orders.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including de-escalating disputes, requesting assistance, and documenting actions taken.
  • Complete detailed reports for incidents, visitor activity, and unusual occurrences, and coordinate with Allied Universal site leadership and client representatives as needed.
