As a Front Desk Officer at a busy logistics and distribution location, you will greet visitors and drivers, manage access control, monitor alarms and cameras, and complete security-related reports using a computer and/or tablet. You will be a visible, professional presence who helps reduce incidents through clear communication and strong customer service. Requirements

  • Have 1+ years of security-related experience.
  • Be 21+ years of age.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Being comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • Alarm panel experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and drivers by following site-specific security-related procedures and front desk protocols.
  • Control access at the lobby or reception area by verifying identification, managing visitor registration, issuing temporary badges, and coordinating access with site contacts.
  • Support dock and delivery operations from the front desk by directing drivers to the proper check-in process, documenting arrivals and departures, and relaying information to warehouse teams.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including notifying site leadership and/or emergency services as directed by post orders.
  • Complete shift logs and incident reports, monitor security-related systems such as CCTV and alarm panels when assigned, and communicate timely updates during shift transitions.
