As a Security Officer Front Desk Associate in Minneapolis, MN, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Shelter, and more. As a Front Desk Officer at a shelter location, you will greet residents and visitors, monitor access, and support daily security-related operations through strong communication and customer service. This primarily stationary role offers the chance to make a meaningful impact in a caring environment while working with a team that values reliability, integrity, and people-first service.

Requirements

  • Possess at least 6 months of security-related experience.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to residents, visitors, staff, and/or vendors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at the front desk.
  • Monitor access at the front desk by greeting entrants, verifying identification and/or visitor information, maintaining logs, and communicating entry procedures in a professional manner.
  • Respond to incidents, disturbances, and/or urgent situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including contacting site leadership, emergency services, and/or Allied Universal leadership when needed.
  • Observe activity in the lobby and entrance areas, report unusual behavior and/or policy concerns, and document incidents, visitor activity, and other security-related information accurately.
