Requirements

  • Have at least 6 months of security-related experience.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

  • Access control and badge experience is preferred.
  • Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide exceptional customer service to residents, visitors, vendors, and staff while carrying out site-specific procedures and security-related responsibilities at a multifamily residential location.
  • Staff the front desk, greet and screen visitors, verify access authorization, issue visitor credentials, and maintain accurate visitor and delivery records.
  • Monitor building access points, cameras, alarms, and communications systems, and report unusual activity or maintenance concerns according to site procedures.
  • Respond to resident concerns, incidents, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, contacting appropriate personnel and emergency services when needed.
  • Maintain clear written logs and incident reports, communicate shift activity to team members, and help to deter unauthorized access through a professional front-desk presence.
