About The Position

As a Security Officer Front Desk Coordinator in Overland Park, KS, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. Join Allied Universal at a fast-paced telecom location where you will serve as the front desk presence, greet visitors, manage access, monitor activity, and provide outstanding customer service and communication. In this stationary role, you will support daily security-related operations while helping to deter incidents through professionalism and attention to detail. Requirements

  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to visitors, employees, and/or vendors at the front desk by following site-specific procedures and security-related protocols for a technology-focused location.
  • Monitor lobby and reception area activity, manage access requests, and verify identification and/or credentials in accordance with site policies.
  • Answer phones, greet guests, coordinate visitor check-in processes, and communicate with on-site contacts regarding arrivals, deliveries, and/or access needs.
  • Respond to incidents, unusual activity, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including initiating appropriate emergency response activities when needed.
  • Complete required logs, reports, and front desk documentation related to visitor activity, incidents, and other security-related matters.
