About The Position

As a Security Officer Front Desk in Bellefonte, PA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Chemical/Petrochemical, and more. Requirements

  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
  • Access Control/Badge Experience (B201):Candidates should have prior experience with access control systems and badge management. This includes familiarity with issuing, tracking, and managing access badges for personnel.
  • Alarm Panel Experience (B202):Experience with alarm panel systems is essential. Candidates should demonstrate knowledge of alarm system operations, troubleshooting, and response protocols.
  • Comfortable Using Computer or Tablet (B204):Proficiency in using computers or tablets is required. Candidates should be comfortable navigating software applications and performing data entry tasks.
  • CPR Certification:Candidates must possess a valid CPR certification. Free training is provided by Allied Universal for those who do not have certification at the time of application.
  • Customer Service Experience (B219):A background in customer service is essential. Candidates should have experience in interacting with clients and providing exceptional service in a professional manner.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to clients, visitors, and/or employees while carrying out site-specific security-related procedures and policies at the front desk of a chemical manufacturing location.
  • Monitor and control access by verifying visitor credentials, issuing temporary access credentials, maintaining visitor records, and directing guests in accordance with site requirements.
  • Receive incoming calls, coordinate visitor arrivals, and communicate access-related information to appropriate site contacts and Allied Universal leadership.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established emergency response procedures.
  • Maintain accurate front-desk documentation, report unusual activity or security-related concerns, and help to deter unauthorized access through consistent access-control practices.
