As a Security Officer Unarmed Roving Patrol in Indianapolis, IN, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Education, and more. Join Allied Universal as an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a dynamic education location, where you will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and support students, staff, and visitors with strong communication and customer service. Requirements

  • At least 1 year of security-related experience is required.
  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • CPR and/or First Aid certification is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to students, staff, visitors, and/or faculty by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Respond to incidents, campus-related concerns, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner while communicating with site contacts and/or emergency personnel as needed.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout classrooms, administrative areas, parking areas, common spaces, and perimeter locations to help to deter unwanted activity and/or identify unusual conditions.
  • Monitor access points and observe on-site activity to help to deter unauthorized entry, support visitor management practices, and report suspicious behavior and/or policy violations.
  • Document incidents, observations, and routine activities in written reports while following Allied Universal standards and location protocols.
