As an Unarmed Patrol Officer in an education setting, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and provide exceptional customer service to students, staff, and visitors. Requirements

  • Have at least one year of security-related experience.
  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Be comfortable using a computer or tablet, preferred.
  • Be able to lift more than 20 pounds, preferred.
  • Hold CPR certification, preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to students, faculty, staff, visitors, and campus community members while carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established campus protocols and notifying appropriate personnel.
  • Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of academic buildings, residence areas, parking facilities, walkways, and surrounding property to help deter unauthorized activity.
  • Monitor access points and report suspicious activity, hazards, maintenance concerns, and policy violations through required communication channels and documentation.
  • Assist with directions, escorts, event-related support, and other campus service requests while maintaining a professional presence.
