As a Security Officer Foot Patrol in Corpus Christi, TX, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Education, and more. As an Unarmed Security Officer at a college campus, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, and support a welcoming environment for students, faculty, staff, and visitors. You will provide exceptional customer service, communicate clearly, and respond to security-related concerns with professionalism. Requirements

  • A state, county, or city-issued security license is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to students, faculty, staff, visitors, and/or vendors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of campus buildings, walkways, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help identify unusual conditions and help deter unauthorized activity.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established campus procedures and notifying appropriate personnel.
  • Monitor access points and observe activity throughout assigned areas, reporting maintenance concerns, policy violations, and suspicious behavior to site leadership.
  • Complete required activity reports, incident documentation, and shift communications in accordance with Allied Universal and site-specific requirements.
