You will monitor and patrol assigned areas, remain highly visible to help reduce security-related incidents, respond to alarms and/or access concerns, and document activity using site technology. You will deliver strong customer service and clear communication while supporting a team that is agile, reliable, innovative, and always acts with integrity.

Requirements

  • A valid driver’s license is required in the state where the job is located.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Ability to lift up to 20 pounds is preferred.
  • Alarm panel experience is preferred.
  • CPR and/or First Aid is preferred and may be completed post hire.
  • Being comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to site staff and visitors by following Allied Universal procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a large technology data center location.
  • Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols of buildings, server areas, entrances, loading docks, parking areas, and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized access and identify unusual conditions.
  • Monitor access control points by verifying identification and/or credentials, directing authorized personnel to appropriate areas, and documenting entries and exits per site requirements.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including reporting hazards, contacting site leadership and/or public emergency services when needed, and assisting with evacuation or shelter procedures as directed.
  • Complete detailed patrol logs, incident reports, and shift handoff notes, and communicate security-related concerns to supervisors and site contacts in a timely manner.
