As an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a busy retail and mall location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, conduct routine patrols, stay highly visible to help reduce security-related incidents, and provide customer-focused assistance and clear communication to guests and staff. This is a driving post, requiring a valid driver’s license and compliance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements. Requirements

• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to guests and tenant staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities as appropriate for a retail location.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including disturbances, medical situations, and/or suspicious activity, and notify site leadership and/or public responders when needed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of interior shopping areas, common spaces, and exterior perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and identify maintenance, lighting, and/or access concerns.
• Monitor entrances, exits, and key access points; assist with crowd flow during peak shopping periods; and support loss prevention efforts by observing and reporting policy violations.
• Complete reports and logs, document incidents accurately, and communicate noteworthy conditions and/or trends to Allied Universal management and site contacts.
