Learn more: aus.com/earnmore. Join Allied Universal as an unarmed Patrol Officer supporting a commercial real estate location. You will conduct routine foot and/or vehicle patrols, stay highly visible to help reduce security-related incidents, assist tenants and visitors with a service-first approach, and communicate clearly with on-site teams. You will document observations, report concerns, and respond to issues with integrity, teamwork, and a caring culture that puts people first, while staying agile, reliable, and innovative.

Requirements

  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to tenants, visitors, and vendors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a commercial property.
  • Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols of interior common areas, parking lots, loading areas, and the perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and identify maintenance or access-control concerns.
  • Monitor access points and observe building activity, verifying credentials and/or visitor authorization per post orders and documenting security-related activity in reports and logs.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including medical calls, alarms, disturbances, and property-related issues, and notify Allied Universal supervision and/or property management as required.
  • Use clear radio and written communication to coordinate with on-site personnel and/or first responders, and complete accurate incident reports, patrol documentation, and shift turnover notes.
