Join Allied Universal as an unarmed patrol officer at a busy commercial real estate location, where your presence and routine rounds help support a welcoming environment and help to deter security-related incidents. You will monitor assigned areas, manage access control and badge activity, respond to customer needs, and communicate clearly with onsite teams. Requirements

  • Have 1 or more years of security-related experience.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • A state, county, or city issued security license is preferred.
  • Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to clients, tenants, employees, and/or visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a commercial real estate location.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, and communicate updates to site contacts and/or Allied Universal leadership as needed.
  • Conduct regular and random foot patrols of interior and exterior areas including lobbies, corridors, parking areas, and perimeter points to help to deter unwanted activity and identify hazards or maintenance concerns.
  • Monitor access points and manage visitor and/or contractor entry using site procedures, verify identification as required, and direct individuals to appropriate destinations.
  • Complete patrol logs, incident reports, and shift documentation with clear, accurate details, and relay relevant information during shift transitions.
