About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a Security Officer Flex Patrol Driver in Worcester, Massachusetts. The officer will safeguard clients across varied industries and work at changing sites, locations, and assignments. The role offers 30–40 hours per week, with a schedule that varies week to week through manager-assigned shifts and the Earn More, Claim-A-Shift self-scheduling program. Shifts may be irregular and assigned with little to no advance notice to support client needs. The role provides exposure to diverse work environments and opportunities for career growth.

Requirements

• Ability to work varying shifts, including holidays, nights, and weekends.
• Supervisory experience is required.
• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Ability to accommodate last-minute shift scheduling.
• Ability to travel required distances.
• At least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Applicants are subject to a background investigation in accordance with applicable laws.
• Applicants are subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements may apply under state or local laws and regulations and may be required before employment.

Nice To Haves

• Ability to speak, read, and write in multiple languages, such as Spanish, Portuguese, French, or Arabic.
• Prior security, military, or law enforcement experience.

Responsibilities

• Perform security patrols of designated areas on foot or in a vehicle.
• Watch for irregular or unusual conditions that may create security concerns or safety hazards.
• Sound alarms or call the police or fire department in case of fire or the presence of unauthorized persons.
• Warn violators of rule infractions, such as loitering, smoking, or carrying forbidden articles.
• Permit authorized persons to enter property and monitor entrances and exits.
• Observe departing personnel to protect against theft of company property and ensure authorized removal of property follows client requirements.
• Investigate and prepare reports on accidents, incidents, and suspicious activities; maintain written logs as required by the post.
• Aid customers, employees, and visitors in a courteous and professional manner.
• Make emergency notifications as necessary pursuant to site Post Orders.
