As a Security Officer Flex Building Access Control in Santa Ana, CA, this role is designed to provide reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with the flexibility for you to earn more by picking-up additional shifts when it works for you. This role is ideal for candidates seeking part-time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build-up to a full-time schedule of up to 40 hours per week; always with the option to scale back when needed.

Requirements

• At least one year of security-related experience is required.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

• Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
• A guard card and/or license is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to tenants, visitors, property management, and vendors by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies at a commercial real estate location.
• Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols of building interiors, parking areas, entrances, and the property perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity and identify unusual conditions.
• Monitor access points and common areas, verify credentials when required, and report unauthorized access and/or suspicious activity.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including supporting emergency response activities when appropriate.
• Document patrol findings, incidents, property concerns, and shift activities through accurate reports and timely communication with Allied Universal and property management personnel.
