As a Security Officer Building Access Control in Costa Mesa, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls, and more. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a retail location, you will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and assist visitors, tenants, and staff with exceptional customer service. You will communicate clearly, document activities using computer or tablet technology, and support a welcoming environment. Requirements

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Comfortably using a computer or tablet is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to tenants, visitors, and shoppers by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols throughout retail common areas, parking facilities, entrances, and the property perimeter to help identify and report security-related concerns.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established site procedures and contacting appropriate personnel and/or emergency services when needed.
• Monitor access points and observe activity throughout the location, helping to deter unauthorized access, theft-related activity, and property damage.
• Document observations, incidents, and patrol activities accurately in required reports and communicate relevant information to site management and Allied Universal leadership.
