As an Unarmed Security Officer supporting an aerospace and defense location, you will monitor assigned areas, conduct routine patrols, help deter security-related incidents, and provide outstanding customer service and communication. Requirements

  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • CPR/First Aid certification is preferred.
  • A state, county, or city-issued security-related license is preferred.
  • Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • Ability to lift up to 20 lbs. is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to personnel, visitors, and contractors at an aerospace and defense location by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Respond to incidents, access concerns, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, notifying appropriate site contacts and/or emergency services as directed.
  • Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of facilities, offices, entry points, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help identify unusual activity and potential security-related concerns.
  • Monitor access points and verify visitor, contractor, and delivery credentials in accordance with site procedures; maintain required logs and report discrepancies.
  • Prepare accurate incident reports and daily activity documentation while maintaining professionalism and confidentiality regarding site operations.
