About The Position

As a Security Officer Experienced Driver Patrol in Austin, TX, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. Join Allied Universal as an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a dynamic tech location, where you will monitor assigned areas, conduct routine patrols, support access control activities, and provide outstanding customer service and communication. This is a driving post, requiring a valid driver's license. In this role, you will help to deter security-related incidents while reflecting our values of agility, reliability, innovation, teamwork, and integrity.

Requirements

• 2+ years of security-related experience is required.
• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

• Ability to lift up to 20 pounds is preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and vendors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or appropriate emergency response activities within a technology-focused location.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting details and communicating with site contacts and/or Allied Universal leadership as needed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout buildings, work areas, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help to deter unwanted activity and report unusual conditions.
• Monitor access points and assist with entry and exit activity, verifying credentials and/or visitor processes in accordance with site protocols.
• Support day-to-day operations by observing site activity, reporting maintenance or policy concerns, and assisting with post orders designed for an unarmed patrol assignment.
