As a Security Officer Evening Vehicle Patrol in Durham, NC, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare, and more. As an Unarmed Officer at a healthcare location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, respond to security-related concerns, and deliver exceptional customer service and communication. Requirements

  • At least one year of security-related experience is required.
  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • A guard card or license is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to employees, visitors, patients, and vendors by carrying out site-specific procedures, access-control protocols, and emergency response activities at a healthcare and research location.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, medical emergencies, and other critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established reporting and notification procedures.
  • Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of interior and exterior areas, including entrances, parking areas, laboratories, offices, and perimeter locations, to help identify and report unusual conditions.
  • Monitor access points and visitor activity, verify credentials as required, and help maintain authorized entry in accordance with site policies.
  • Prepare accurate incident reports, daily activity logs, and other required documentation, and communicate observations to Allied Universal leadership and site contacts.
