As a Security Officer Patrol Driver in Cary, NC, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. Join Allied Universal as an unarmed driving patrol officer at a government location, where you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, stay visible to help to deter security-related incidents, and support staff, students, and visitors with professional customer service and communication. Requirements

  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or appropriate emergency response activities at a public sector educational location.
  • Respond to incidents, disturbances, and/or critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, and communicate relevant information to site contacts and supervisors.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of buildings, hallways, parking areas, athletic spaces, and perimeter locations to help to deter unauthorized activity and observe unusual conditions.
  • Monitor access points and visitor activity in accordance with site procedures, and report suspicious behavior, hazards, and/or policy concerns to the appropriate personnel.
  • Support daily location operations by documenting incidents, providing directions and assistance, and maintaining a visible presence during arrival, dismissal, and other high-traffic periods.
