As a Security Officer - Evening Corporate Skyscraper Patrol, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Commercial Real Estate, and more. Join Allied Universal as a Security Officer supporting a premier commercial real estate location. You will monitor access points, conduct routine patrols, help deter security-related incidents, and provide exceptional customer service to tenants and visitors. Requirements
- Possess a valid New York State Security Guard License.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
Nice To Haves
- CPR/First Aid certification is preferred.
- Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
- Access control/badge experience is preferred.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to tenants, visitors, and/or contractors at a commercial real estate location by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
- Respond to incidents, access-control concerns, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, escalating matters according to site procedures.
- Conduct regular and random patrols of building interiors, exterior areas, parking facilities, and perimeter locations to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
- Monitor access points, verify visitor and contractor authorization, and maintain accurate logs, reports, and other required documentation.
- Communicate professionally with property management, tenants, visitors, and emergency responders while supporting a positive environment at the location.
