About The Position

As a Security Officer - Corporate Premises Patrol, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Commercial Real Estate, and more. Join Allied Universal as a Security Officer supporting a commercial real estate location. You will monitor access points, conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, and provide outstanding customer service to tenants and visitors. Use your communication and technology skills to document security-related activity while contributing to a reliable, innovative team that puts people first and acts with integrity.

Requirements

  • Possess a New York State Security Guard License.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Access Control/Badge Experience is preferred.
  • Comfortable Using Computer or Tablet is preferred.
  • CPR/First Aid is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to tenants, visitors, and staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Respond to incidents, access-control concerns, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established reporting and escalation procedures.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of commercial property areas, including building entrances, common areas, loading docks, parking facilities, and perimeter locations.
  • Monitor building activity and access points, verify visitor and contractor authorization, and help to deter unauthorized entry or prohibited activity.
  • Document observations, incidents, and security-related concerns accurately and communicate relevant information to site management and Allied Universal leadership.
